The Dean 8160597 O-Ring 1-3/8" ID 1/8" width is a seal that is installed in a groove between two parts that are to be assembled and compresses when the parts are assembled to help prevent the flow of fluids or gases at the joint. The tightening of the components causes the ring to deform slightly to fit into the space and come into contact with the surrounding surfaces. It is inserted in to the proper groove or channel of compatible equipment at the point where two pieces of a seal are needed.
