The GILES 22975 Direct Spark Ignition Module operates by receiving a low-voltage signal from the control system and converting it into a high-voltage spark that ignites the gas burner through an external ignitor electrode. It monitors flame presence using a connected flame sensor and maintains ignition attempts until a stable flame, is detected ensuring proper burner start-up sequence control. If no flame is sensed within the ignition cycle, the module activates an 11-second lockout before resetting for another attempt. It is equipped with 5-1/4" tab terminals that connect power, ground and control signals.
