The Hobart XNC6X124/346466-9 Contactor 3-Pole 30/40A 120V is based on operating an electromagnetic coil that opens and closes electrical circuits so that it is possible to control the passage of current through three individual points. By applying voltage to the coil, a magnetic field is created that causes the connections to be moved into place, either closing or opening the circuit. Capable of fitting into a commercial kitchen or industrial panel, the contactor is mounted on a paneling surface to control electrical components connected to it centrally, and has a small footprint to fit in.
