The APW 13805-00 High-Limit Safety Thermostat LCH Nickel Plated is mounted within compatible commercial heating equipment, with its 1/4" x 4-7/8" sensing bulb extending into the area where temperature monitoring is required and a 30" capillary tube linking it to the control frame. Heat absorbed by the sensing bulb causes changes within the thermostat's internal system, allowing it to track operating temperatures during equipment operation. When the measured temperature reaches the fixed limit of 450°F, the thermostat responds by opening the control circuit, shutting off the heat source until the condition is corrected, and the system is manually reset.
