The APW AS-1380500 High-Limit Safety Thermostat LCH Nickel Plated utilizes a capillary-operated sensing system that responds to temperature changes occurring within heated equipment sections. Installed in a compatible commercial cooking system the assembly includes a 1/4" x 4-7/8" sensing bulb positioned at the monitoring point and a 30" capillary tube connecting it to the system control. As temperatures increase to the fixed 450°F setting pressure changes within the sensing system cause the thermostat to actuate its internal contacts disconnecting the heating circuit and preventing additional temperature rise until the control is manually reset.
