The Hobart 344523-00001 Hi-Limit LCH Thermostat W/Manual Reset 490°F Fixed 1/4" X 6-1/2" Nickel Bulb is a temperature-sensing safety part that reacts to excessive heat by interrupting the control circuit. It operates on the concepts of a temperature-sensitive element, which causes it to open the electrical contacts when a certain value is attained in the temperature rise and further requires manual resetting for restoration of operation. It is an integral part of the control and also forms part of the thermal sensing section. It is wired into the safety circuit so that it can open or break the electrical connection between the control and line parts.
