The Hobart 344523-6 Hi-Limit LCH Thermostat W/Manual Reset 490°F Fixed 1/4" X 6-1/2" Nickel Bulb is a high-temperature safety thermostat intended for commercial foodservice equipment. The bulb is in place, and during operation it measures the temperature at the point where it is installed, and it reacts when the set temperature is reached. It has a manual reset feature that must be reset manually after a high-limit event. It is linked to the safety circuit of the equipment and will stop heating if too hot, and it is intended for use as a secure temperature point for the appliance at a higher temperature.
