The Market Forge 97-5078 Tilting Kettle O-Ring 7/16"ID x 3/32" width is a seal between two mating surfaces formed by the sitting in a groove and compressing as the components are assembled, limiting the flow of fluids or gases at the joint. The ring is forced to shape into the groove and the surrounding surfaces to aid in holding the seal when pressure is exerted. It is inserted in the corresponding gland of compatible equipment, where two parts come together and a seal is necessary. The groove dimensions are proper to fit and seal.
