The Southbend 3-DV26 Steam Kettle O-Ring 7/16" ID X 3/32" Width is a circular sealing gasket composed of elastomeric material that is fitted into a groove between two surfaces that are in contact to limit the flow of steam or liquid. The O-ring is used to seal the joint when it is compressed during assembly, and it aids in ensuring that there is a tight seal when the joint is under operating pressure. It is installed in the special groove of a connection point on a steam kettle between fittings, or around a shaft, where it is necessary to seal.
