The Vulcan Hart 00-836953 Steam Kettle O-Ring 7/16" ID X 3/32" Width is a circular sealing gasket of elastomeric material, which is inserted into a groove to reduce leakage between mating components. The blocks prevent the flow of steam or liquid by compressing between surfaces to block the passage of the liquid or steam and the surface tight and under pressure. It is fitted in the connection point or joint of a steam kettle assembly where a seal is needed, fitted around a shaft, pipe, or a mating surface. The ring is specific groove and compresses when the components are put together to seal the ring.
