The Vulcan Hart VH00-412788-00003 Thermocouple is a flame sensor that was used in the 1900 Series HD in commercial service equipment. It is 24" long and works by generating a 20-30 millivolt electrical signal when it is subjected to pilot flame heat. This signal makes the gas control valve operate correctly so that the fuel is supplied. The thermocouple is normally mounted next to the pilot assembly and is used in large-volume foodservice settings where there should be uniform operation. Its position in the system facilitates safety in operation, better ignition and better control of the burner in normal use.
