The Hobart 00-844329 Contactor 4 Pole 40A Inductive/50A resistive switches electrical power by opening or closing four circuits in response to a control signal energizing its coil. It can be activated to permit current to pass to heating elements, motors or other loads and interrupts of the electric circuit that interrupts when de-energized. This is installed within the electrical compartment of the equipment, and it is part of the primary power and control circuitry. It is rated to operate at 208/240V and is designed to replace the contactor.
