The Hatco 02.16.001 Thermostat S 3/8" x 4-3/32" 12" Capillary is a part used for temperature regulation to maintain the desired operating temperature of a system. It works on the concept of sensing the temperature of a 12-inch capillary and then switching the thermostat mechanism on at a certain temperature and off at a different temperature. The thermostat has a 3/8-inch by 4-3/32-inch sensing size and makes and breaks an electrical circuit in the control of the heating cycle. It is mounted at the specified temperature sensing location with the capillary tube strapped to give a constant input of temperature during normal operation of the equipment.
