The Southbend SOU1010397 Thermostat is a temperature controller system that is used to control the amount of heat in commercial cooking equipment. It works between 150F and 550F checking the inside temperatures and regulating gas or electricity supply to keep the desired cooking conditions. It has 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet connections and a 3/16" by 14-3/4" sensing element that is directly connected to the temperature control system of the appliance. Its presence in the appliance is vital in ensuring that the temperatures remain constant enabling secure usage and preventing overheating when used over a sustained period of time.
