The Garland 1291700 Ball Valve controls passage through a threaded fluid line by rotating an internal spherical shutoff element. Quarter-turn movement aligns the opening with the flow route or places the solid section across the passage, changing the line state. The 1-1/4" NPT specification identifies the threaded connection size and thread form for attachment to adjoining piping. A sealed body contains the rotating mechanism and maintains the enclosed flow route. Commercial cooking equipment incorporates the fitting within gas or fluid plumbing arrangements requiring direct flow isolation.
