The Dean 8066993 Ball Valve controls a piping connection through a compact rotary closure. The internal sphere contains a passage that follows the handle position, creating a straight route through the body at one setting and interrupting continuity after a quarter turn. Each 1-1/4" NPT port supplies a threaded interface for adjoining pipework, with the NPT reference identifying the tapered thread type. A sealed housing surrounds the moving section and confines the conveyed medium. Commercial food-service plumbing may position the valve at an accessible point along the supply route.
