The Montague 3384-7 Range Thermostat W/Dial BJWA 3/16 X 8" Capillary 36" used to control the amount of heat in the cooking area by detecting the temperature change in the capillary tube and bulb. It operates by modifying the internal control system as the dial is rotated to make the burner vary its output to the desired temperature. This thermostat is installed in the control panel of the range and the sensing bulb is located close to the source of heat to directly measure the temperature.
