The Vulcan Hart 00-920325 Thermocouple MGB/MGCB is a flame-sensing system that is available in gas-powered commercial cooking apparatus. It is mounted close to the pilot burner on ranges and griddles to sense the presence of heat and send a millivolt signal which keeps the gas valve open when the system is operating normally. In case the pilot flame is extinguished, the signal is terminated, and the flow of the gas is cut off in order to maximize safety. The thermocouple is used in the ignition and safety system.
