The Hatco 02-01-016-00 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240V is used to open and close electrical circuits to regulate the flow of high-current power in commercial foodservice equipment. It operates in such a way that when the control signal energizes its coil, the electricity is conducted through its three poles and the circuit is broken when the signal is removed. This element is mounted in the electrical panel of the equipment where it is connected to other wiring to control the operation of heating elements, motors or other high-current devices to provide coordinated operation in the system.
