The Market Forge S10-5476 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240V is an electrical power controller that opens and closes the circuit between two electrical parts when powered on or off respectively. It works by having a coil that when switched on, pulls the contacts together to complete the circuit and then opens them back to prevent the flow of electricity. It is intended to be installed in electrical panels or control boxes to fit in those systems where coordination of high-current loads in three phases is needed, so that it can be properly coordinated with other parts of the system.
