The Cres Cor 0857-026 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240 V is an electromagnetic switch that controls the current flow of high-voltage electricity to heavy-duty heating coils. An internal coil produces a magnetic field when the operator circuit is powered, which pulls the electrical contacts together to complete the circuit. This is mounted in the internal housing of holding units and used in commercial applications to connect the thermostat and the main load of power. The part uses a cycling of the 208/240 V current to ensure that the temperatures remain constant during the cooking or holding process.
