The Nu-Vu 662017 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240 V works on the concept of opening and closing electrical contacts using an electromagnetic coil to regulate the current flowing to equipment connected to it. It uses all three poles to operate high-voltage circuits and can switch on or off a number of connections at the same time. It is intended to be installed in the control panel of commercial kitchen appliances, and is placed there so that it is easy to integrate with the existing electrical system and to keep the wiring connections well organized.
