The Market Forge 975610 3-Pole Contactor 40/50A 208/240V is used as an electromagnetic coil to open and close internal mechanical contacts when energized. This move completes the electrical circuit, which enables the high-current power to pass through three different points to elements such as heating elements or motors. The unit can handle loads of 40-50 amps at 208V or 240V. The part can be used to automate the cycling of commercial kitchen equipment by isolating low-voltage control signals of high-voltage power lines, which can be used to operate the equipment in a standard manner.
