The Blodgett 17498 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240 V is a replacement part that uses an electromagnetic coil to open and close electrical contacts to supply current to heating elements or motors when required. The coil closes the circuit when it is energized and opens the circuit when it is de-energized. The contactor is intended to be installed in a commercial oven or other kitchen appliance where it would be directly connected to the main power supply to be able to control high-current loads efficiently.
